Water

There is great and endless talk it seems about human rights and needs. While many of these discussions and arguments are hugely important, surely the low hanging fruit should be committing to providing access to clean fresh water for all people around the world. This is not exhaustive, or the be-all and end-all and people who waste or pollute water should pay exorbitantly for doing so. Our rivers, streams and oceans are polluted to an awful degree. We use our most precious resource as a dumping ground and in doing so bring death and misery to many other species as well as ourselves. A basic living level of clean water for drinking, cooking and bathing should however not be too much to ask for if we are to call ourselves an advanced or “civilized” species.
